With Information
of Interest

Links are not provided to the web sites of big R&D players like the American DARPA, ARL, GTRI, and JHU/APL; British Dstl; various Fraunhofer institutes and WTDs in Germany, together with India's DRDO and Israel's Rafael. The reason is that their web sites contain no information of value.
Colleges
- Cranfield Defence and Security. Some PhD theses of interest, but one has to find out the right search terms. For instance, electronic warfare gives mixed results
- Dudley Knox Library at Naval Postgraduate School. Quite a number of interesting MS-level theses are produced at NPS. Older theses have to be accessed for through DTIC Online
Free college Web courses & course literature
R&D Organizations
- FOI, the Swedish Defense Research Establishment. Puts some of its research publications on the web (lateley less than there used to be). Some are in English and worth looking at, all have abstracts in English
- DST, formerly DSTO. the Australian Defense Science and Technology organization. A limited number of publications are of interest to EW & survivability
- NATO RTO research publications. Unfortunately, only a minor part of its thousands of articles are Unclassified/Unlimited Distribution. Only of minor interest
- DTIC Online. DTIC compensates for the fact that individual US defense R&D organizations lack public information service of professional interest. Here you can find documents with the well-known AD number. Try searching for The Infrared & Electro-Optical Systems Handbook. All volumes will be there, ready to be downloaded
Think Tanks
- GAO, (US) Government Accountability Office, watchdog of Congress. A vast number of critical reports on the most different areas of public affairs. Military spending is a constant subject of investigation
- RAND Corp. puts many of its reports on the web, a few of which are of interest to EW and survivability
